Assistant Branch Manager Job Description
Summary:Assists the Branch manager in the branch’s operations with accountability for sales, customer service, profitability, productivity and loss prevention. Communicates and enforces store goals and policies and ensures compliance with security, sales, safety, and recordkeeping practices. Assists with coaching, training, and direction to ensure branch sales, customer service, profitability, and asset management goals are met. Ensures all company policies, safety standards, and procedures related to employees and operations are followed. May discipline as appropriate when needed. Oversees store housekeeping, maintenance, and repair.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures all branch employees are following all procedures, policies, safety standards, and work instructions.
Assist in the training, performance management, and corrective actions when needed.
Resolve customer issues, complaints, and transactions when necessary.
Assist in the planning of forecasting inventory needs with branch manager and the sales staff, ensuring adequate product inventory is available and in good condition.
Resolve operations issues or concerns by communicating with Branch Manager, and if needed the Regional Operations Manager, or VP of equipment Sales.
Ensure House account sales are being monitored and accounts are being worked and transferred over to sales team when appropriate.
Work with Branch manager to enable branch to achieve overall sales goals.
Keep current with monthly cycle counts and keep dead stock at a minimum.
Ensure branch is clean, organized, safe, and are properly stocked.
Ensure delivery routes and schedules are relevant at their branch.
Sales Support:
Supports Branch Manager, Region Sales Managers, Equipment Managers, Operations Manager, and Daikin Sales Reps in dealing with customer issues.
Sells Thermal Supply as being a wholesaler providing value added services and a complete product offering to customers.
Promotes all marketing and sales programs at the branch level.
Works to reach branch sales goals as part of the Branch team.
Education/Experience/Skills:
General knowledge of Refrigeration/HVAC wholesale experience.
Product Knowledge and understanding the Refrigeration and HVAC industries.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Strong leadership and management skills
Knowledge of warehousing, inventory, and facility lease agreements
Strong knowledge of sales and P&L’s.
Excellent computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.
High school diploma or GED required
A 2- or 4-year college degree preferred
Excellent knowledge of the products Thermal Supply sells
Comprehends Thermal’s Inside Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery Functions
Proactive, self-motivated and willingly seek opportunities to benefit Thermal Supply
Thinks creatively and identifies sales opportunities
Positive approach toward challenging situations
Strong decision-making abilities – understand the impact and implications of decisions

Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour
