Prospector Outfitters is Alaska’s finest outfitter, providing Clothing, Footwear, Fishing and Camping supplies for your Alaskan Adventure, with locations in Valdez and Fairbanks. We are interviewing qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Store Manager in our Valdez location at 200 Egan Dr. Our customer service platform, strong promotional calendar, Select Client Program, and unmatched merchandise selection truly sets us apart in the industry. Fjallraven, Carhartt, The North Face, White’s Boots, Filson, Columbia, Timberland Pro and Grundens are only a few of the brands we carry
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated a solid base of retail sales and management experience and will possess a high level of demonstrated skills in Sales, Training, Operations and Sales Management. Compensation starts at $20 an hour, dependent on your measured ability to;
consistently achieve your own “fair share” of your personal sales goal
recruit, hire, and train staff at all levels of operations, product knowledge, sales and customer service
manage store operations that are executed at a high level of productivity, efficiency, and accuracy
control and improve controllable variable expenses, including improvements in labor and productivity
manage sales staff to operate at a very high level of customer service AND sales/profitability
