Job Description :
Westat is an employee-owned corporation providing research services to agencies of the U.S. Government, as well as businesses, foundations, and state and local governments. Westat’s research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC. This role is remote eligible.
Westat is seeking a senior technical architect to work with project staff in defining high-level system architecture that satisfies the technical requirements and interprets the product requirements so that clear and complete system requirements are produced.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical oversight for the implementation of the systems.
Define functional interfaces and data flows between applications, network architecture and a security model for the system.
Document and distribute development guidelines relating to security, documentation, testing, etc. to all implementers.
Identify, evaluate, and recommend technologies, platforms, tools, and vendors to be used in the implementation of the various applications.
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree with 10 years of IT experience is required.
U.S. Citizenship required by contract
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have excellent business systems analysis and project management skills.
Experience implementing and utilizing workflow solutions.
Implementation of enterprise applications and systems, on-premise as well as on-demand (SaaS) systems implementation and support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with web-based data collection, data manipulation, and reporting visualization systems and processes, and design.
Strong working knowledge of microservices and proven leadership experience.
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
