For placement in department lecturer pool for Fall 2022. Contingent on course offerings (ranging from 3 to 7 credits per semester), sufficient enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funds. Appointment based on a semester basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The School of Life Sciences at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa seeks a qualified candidate to teach a core curriculum course in Biostatistics (BIOL 220) that includes lecture and lab sections for Fall 2022. The qualified candidate is expected to develop lectures using Whitlock & Schluter (2020) The Analysis of Biological Data. 3rd Edition. Macmillan Learning and relevant literature, and develop lab exercises to complement the lectures using established R statistical packages. See descriptions of courses below for relevant topics to be covered:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have an M.S. in Biology, and relevant experience in statistics and their use in biological studies.
Desirable Qualification:
Ph.D. in Biology or related discipline
