Role involves:
Having a large technical appetite across a wide spectrum of application architectures involving Application layer, middle ware, web technology, database, messaging and communication, cloud, containerization, operating systems, system administration, network, storage, …
Partnering with application development and production management teams for Resiliency initiatives
Pursuing automation capabilities including implementation using technologies like Java, Python and scripting in Unix/Windows
Understanding business and regulatory requirements, firm-wide policies and standards and applying them to areas like application recovery and business continuity planning
Collaborating with Global teams in areas of resiliency initiatives, process compliance, process improvements
Co-ordinating application participation in recovery tests and special datacentre events. Providing consultancy on post-test audit requirements and assisting the application teams in meeting the recovery time objectives.
Communicating with various levels of management, including very senior management (upto CTO-1)
Driving learning programs and forums to educate and share best practices
Skills Required:
An engineering background with deep knowledge in systems and software architectures
Broad spectrum of knowledge in technology products and knowing how they contribute to real-world scenarios in an enterprise
Application development experience using Java, Python and SQL.
Strong problem management skills. Ability to learn new skills quickly and independently.
Strong written and verbal communications. Keen focus on policies, processes and standards.
Self-starter with confidence to drive issues through to completion in a highly competitive environment. Strong in collaboration and influencing skills.
Experience level:
At least 3+ years in developer roles including application and systems programming
At least 2+ years in process oriented roles having ownership of the process and methodology
