AR AdministratorLocation: Amarillo, TexasJob Title: AR AdministratorDepartment: AccountingReports To: Director of AccountingFLSA Status: Full-time, NonexemptInsurance Class: Weekly HourlyWC Code: 8810 Clerical & OfficePersonnel Type: Admin PersonnelSUMMARY: The Accounting Assistant supports the company’s day-to-day accounting functions by assisting in various accounting department tasks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs complex clerical and entry-level accounting activities.
Compiles and checks source documents, such as vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and certificates of insurance, for completeness and accuracy.
Financial administration of client projects to include setup, review, invoicing, and analyzing project health and costs.
Distribute AR invoices to Clients.
Prepare monthly AR Statements and send out to Clients.
Call Clients regarding past due accounts.
May assist in Employee expense reports.
Assists or performs other special projects as assigned.
Enter AR invoices into Client Portals.
Conduct regular internal audits of AR files, invoices, and balances.
Files and maintains accounting records, both hard copy files and electronic documentation.
Assist in annual accounting audit.
Prepare and send demand letters on past due AR accounts.
Process Credit Card payments.
High school degree or equivalent.
4+ years of related experience.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to speak and understand English.
Entry level bookkeeping knowledge.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Works in indoor office environment, dealing mostly with computers and office equipment. Will most likely not be called upon to exert significant physical effort, though on some occasions they may be called upon to lift boxes or perform similar tasks.
Must be able to sit at a desk all day.
Will most likely work standard office hours. May occasionally be required to work extra hours.
