EY – GDS – Consulting – Client Data Operations
As part of our EY – Business Consulting Team, you will help clients in their Client Data Operations assignments from functional perspective. This includes working in teams to onboard clients, maintain reference data through their life cycle, maintain data in the CRM system and support in a variety of sales events and initiatives. The client base spans across industries and countries.
The opportunity
We’re looking for Consultants with experience in Client data Operations including Client Onboarding for multiple business units, set up of Clients and Client reports in a timely and efficient manner, maintenance of reference data through out the life cycle/relationship with the clients (from inception till closure of relationship). Prior experience in a similar role will be a great advantage along with good proficiency in excel and basic proficiency in SQL. Your key responsibilities
Mapping client records from 3rd party data sets to the master client record in the client’s CRM system
Formatting and Standardizing spreadsheets for upload into a central database / data warehouse
Operational Support to execute BAU client data tasks / clearing exceptions (e.g making system updates)
Updating key client data points (reference data) in the client’s CRM systems
Escalate to Sr members of the team and/or to the client when there are bottlenecks to delivery
Work effectively in and with distributed teams and clients globally
Provide regular reporting/metric updates
Skills and attributes for success
Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate clearly and crisply
Good proficiency in excel, use of pivot functions, tables, formatting, reporting is essential
Basic proficiency in SQL is a good to have. Must be able to run queries in databases that have been written by others.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and other standard process disciplines while performing operations
Strong sense of personal accountability and ownership for work product
Critical thinking – e.g. ability to see gaps while executing tasks and work with the seniors/clients to fix them
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
To qualify for the role, you must have
BCom/MCom
18-24 months of experience of work experience in Client Data Operations for Asset Managers, Wealth Managers, Investment Banks, Product companies in the capital market space etc.
Strong Excel skills is a must. Some exposure to SQL is a plus (not a must have)
Should show good learnability to be able to learn new BPO functions (e.g Regulatory Reporting) and competencies and be able to be effective across 2-3 functions
