ABOUT THE TEAM:
This is a dynamic position supporting one of the largest Microsoft database environments in the United States. The team consist of a Manager and 12 people working in India and the United States working together to provide exceptional customer service.
WHAT YOUâLL DO:
RealPage is looking for a Database Administrator level 2 (Microsoft Sql Server) to support production and non-production environments reporting to the Database Architect of the database team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of multiple database management systems in an Enterprise environment to support our many product lines on Microsoft Windows.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, configure, and administer Microsoft Sql Server databases in Windows OS.
Experience with writing Queries and Stored procedures as per need.
Develop internal processes to support automation of DBA tasks.
Work on tickets and DBA releated activities.
Evaluate and monitor databases to resolve performance issues, minimize data redundancy and support capacity planning.
Monitor Replicated databases; perform day-to-day database administration.
Implement and support database backup and recovery procedures.
Perform problem determination (root cause analysis) and document the source of problems and their resolution.
Microsoft Best Practices with regards to database maintenance thresholds for consistency checks, index fragmentation, statistics, backups, restores.
Reviewing execution plans and not only determine possible indexing changes, but also know how to refactor T-SQL statements to achieve optimal performance.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
College degree in computer related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience in Production Support supporting a large database environment.
Skill in writing PowerShell scripts to automate database maintenance activities.
Minimum 4+ years of proven experience of MS Sql Server (2012 or above) on Microsoft Windows
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Good Communication skills
Experience with working in a Collorative environment (onshore & Offshore)
Trobleshooting skills
Take Ownership of projects
Development experience to work with Product team #LI-JL1
