Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Become familiar with finance policies , procedures and standard operating procedures .
Understanding of the applications to be used , US GAAP and local Statutory guidelines and proper compliance with the guidelines
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Preparation of all month end journal entries and get them accounted
Month end , Quarter end and year end closing activities
Preparation of reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
Variance analysis for the Profit and loss account and balance sheet
Work on intercompany eliminations , reconciliations and settlement of the intercompany balances
Work with various teams to clear all the open items
Owning the accuracy and completeness of the entities being handled
Perform Self testing and review of the internal controls , SOX controls
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?
You will be joining the general ledger team which forms part of the Record to report process . The forty plus member team comprises of analysts, supervisors, managers. You will be working with different teams across the globe where VMware offices are located .
Where is this role located?
Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
