Job Responsibilities*GUEST SERVICE ASSOCIATE**Duties and Responsibilities :*1. To abide by the mission statement of the hotel, the department and therespective section.2. You will be required to work in shifts, including night shifts.3. You will always maintain pleasant and obliging manners towards guests and pay prompt attention to them.4. You should always wish the guests with a smile while receiving themand also when they leave. When the Assistant Head Waiters and Head Waiters are busy, you should guide the guests to the table, present Menus and take proper orders. You should also check the tables allotted and arrange the tables with the necessary silverware, linen, cruets, flower vases etc, well in advance.5. You should be conversant with the menu.6. You will punch in the correct items from orders placed by our esteemed guests in the software being used in the Restaurant.7. You will collect the K.O.T. from the Assistant Head Waiter and keep in touch with him for any special instructions to be followed if the procedure demands so.8. You will also check upon the dishes in the Kitchen and see that they are prepared according to the guests requirements and for special instructions if conveyed by guests.9. You will serve the necessary sauces, salads, vegetables along with the dish the bread rolls etc., and serve water in the glass as and when required.10. You should keep the bills ready with you after the last course has been served to the guests so as to present the same to the guests in time before he leaves.*..2/-**-2-*11. You should have sufficient knowledge of the “La Carte Menu” and the items you serve to the guests.12. You should take orders of soft drinks, cigarettes etc., from the guests as and when required to do so.13. You should check and polish the silver before laying out tables and keep proper account of the table linen and assure that soiled linen is replaced by the clean linen from the Laundry Department.14. You will clean the table before dessert and serve the dessert and also change the ash tray as often as required.15. You will attend to phone calls and take bookings and messages as and when necessary.16. You should have enough knowledge of all liquors and mixing of cocktails and how to serve them.17. You should always be clean shaven and bear a smart appearance in neat and clean uniforms.18. You will report immediately to your supervisors, if there are any complaints.19. You should never expect any tips from the guests.20. You will present R.S.T.S. survey cards to guests to enable us get a correct and proper feedback about the food and service.21. To replenish Mini Bar, fruits and take count of consumption of items placed in Mini Bar and report to Mini Bar Control Room about the same. Upon information received of guest checking out, to take count of Mini Bar consumption for proper and correct billing.22. You will render valet services whenever required.23.
