Job Title: IT Project Coordinator
Epiq Company/Division: Epiq IT PMO (IT PMO)
Location: India based; work from home or in Epiq office
Reports To: Director of Project Management
Hours: 2p-11p local time, work hours must overlap with the US work day
This position is a net new position in the department. The department already has one IT Project Coordinator based in India, this will be the second. There is also one US based IT Project Coordinator.
The IT Project Coordinator will be responsible for leading smaller and/or less complex IT projects and will work with multiple Senior IT Project Managers, IT Managers and Technical Resources around the globe. The IT Project Coordinator is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and organizing the artifacts and events related to a project.
The IT Project Coordinator will also assist the PMO with weekly and monthly metrics and reporting, as well as other administrative tasks for the PMO.
The IT Project Coordinator will assist the IT Project Manager(s) on complex projects to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are met by:
Assisting with assigned work streams or tasks
Providing administrative support as needed
Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately
Ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed
The IT Project Coordinator will manage smaller infrastructure build outs, expansions and/or hardware or software upgrade projects independently of a Senior IT Project Manager, ensuring the project objectives and requirements are delivered.
Manage, control and coordinate project team, schedules and implementation.
Day to day oversight of administrative functions in order to achieve project sustainability and success.
Produce weekly IT PMO project status reports.
Produce monthly IT PMO Operational slides.
Lead small IT infrastructure projects.
Execute medium IT infrastructure projects that have been planned by a Senior PM or Manager.
Run or assist with work streams or tasks for larger projects being run by a Senior PM or Manager.
Build a collaborative working relationship with project stakeholders, both business and technical.
Define work breakdown structures for small projects, with input from technical resources and project team members.
Create required project deliverables.
Follow established project status reporting processes.
Track progress of project tasks.
Collaborate with projects stakeholders to meet project milestones.
Drive an appropriate sense of urgency toward project deliverables.
Continuously improve processes and knowledge.
Required Qualifications & Characteristics:
At least 2-3 years previous IT or other professional experience required.
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, preferably in a technical- or business-related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
Previous experience with SharePoint, Teams, Visio and Powerpoint is a plus.
A willingness to learn.
Interest in a potential project management career path.
Knowledge of the legal industry a plus.
Knowledge of PMI project management framework is a plus.
Interest in project management as a potential career path is a plus.
ITIL process framework certification or knowledge is a plus, as is experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodology, including “belt” certification.
