Market Intelligence Associate
We are looking for a Market Intelligence Associate to join our Market Intelligence Team within our Marketing division. The Market Intelligence Associate will be responsible for assisting in the creation and optimization of competitive intelligence assets for a variety of Healthcare IT vendors to be utilized by multiple internal teams. A successful individual in this role must be able to independently execute projects and interpret complex competitor developments while staying up to date with market dynamics.
You will be highly motivated, self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills along with a comprehensive understanding of web-based research and tools to retrieve the required information. You will collect, analyze, structure and concisely articulate strategic information on competitors and the respective markets that they compete in using internal and external resources.
The Team: The Market Intelligence team acts as the eyes and ears for athenahealth on the market. We help Marketing, Product Management, Product Strategy, Sales, Customer Success, Leadership as well as account-facing teams to better understand the core needs of our customers and the broader healthcare market to capitalize on opportunities supporting the growth of our business, build trust and earn credibility with key decision makers.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the Market Intelligence Team’s competitive intelligence portal including regular inbound intelligence curation and analysis, creation of new strategic deliverables, and optimization of existing assets. These assets include but are not limited to competitor battlecards, SWOT analysis, product deep dives, and financial analysis
Help drive insights and informed decision making through the application of competitive intelligence
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand competitive intelligence use cases and deliver tailored outputs with thoughtful analysis and recommendations
Increase the usage and effectiveness of competitive intelligence assets used by Sales and Marketing by tracking KPIs, communicating with key internal stakeholders, and ideating creative ways to improve performance
Optimize the use of our CI platform for advanced integration with Salesforce, SharePoint, and MS Teams
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. At least 3-5 years of professional experience
Experience in market research/competitive intelligence/consulting
Basic knowledge of the US healthcare market
Track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional and US-based teams
Excellent project coordination, project management and report writing skills
Strong interpersonal and time-management skills to meet project deadlines
