Job Purpose
This role supports the marketing department through the production of custom
reports and analytics, drawing on a range of data sources.
Key Accountabilities
Assist the marketing department in their understanding of the results of
their work, and of the data available to them, through carrying out
reporting and analytics tasks.
Carry out and improve upon existing reporting processes.
Develop new scheduled and one off reports using a variety of analytical
tools such as SQL, Excel, PowerBI and Cognos.
Recruit, train and supervise the work of a Marketing Analytics Executive
should the team expand.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience working in an analysis/ reporting role
Experience training, managing or supervising more junior members of
the team.
Able to quickly assimilate information and extract key themes,
understand number problems and make educated guesses where
appropriate
An expert user of Excel and SQL
Quick to pick up new technologies and apply them creatively
Experience in using BI tools, especially PowerBI and Cognos would be
an advantage
A super-organized multi-tasker with strong skills in managing projects,
deadlines and expectations
A confident communicator, able to use data visualization techniques to
make the numbers understandable for a non-technical audience, and
happy to question a proposed strategy or approach and to offer ideas
and solutions.
