We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Payroll Officer- US
Department Overview
The team is responsible for processing biweekly Payrolls for active, Leave and Terminated employees. This include Per, post and run Payroll activities, collection and validation of employee Pay Data, Tax data and benefits to ensure accuracy and timely payment to HSBC employees for NAM. Interaction with Employees and managers to help guide and resolve question raised via Service Now.
A brief overview about the role:
Part of the operations team data/voice as assigned by the management. Manage assigned tasks and deliver output at required level of quality, accuracy, timeliness. Multi-task to bring efficiency in managing tasks, prioritize tasks etc. Provide stellar service to customers with accurate resolution via SOP/Knowledge base/Supervisor support. Complete tasks/assignments/duties as assigned by management.
Roles & Responsibilities
Process & Report on Pre, Post & Data Integrity as a sub component of the Payroll Processes. Using appropriate knowledge management tools
Abide by Regional Government policy and Payroll guidelines while transacting on various Payroll and Benefits Sub functions.
Ensure optimal service levels by following operational procedures related to scheduling and attendance
Ability to comprehend, reengineer and stay compliant during System, regulatory changes
Collect and share best practices and feedback for continuous process improvements
Work with multiple data sources to analyses and report to various Payroll Sub functions
Attention to detail and ability to identify resolve and escalate potential discrepancies / mismatches that would impact Payroll
Requirements
3- 5 years US Payroll, Benefits, Taxation & Reporting experience
3+ years proven human resources (Payroll/People admin etc.) experience or equivalent
Working knowledge on ECPY (SAP) system
Open to working night/flexible shifting schedules
Familiarity of HR systems / databases (including Success Factor – EC / HRMS)
Thorough knowledge of Statutory and Taxation
Skilled in producing reports with Excel
Good understanding of PeopleSoft and query. Experience of managing to KPIs and SLAs
