We have opportunities for suitably experienced Porters to join our teams at both Perisher and Mt. Hotham this winter season.
At Perisher, porters are responsible for efficiently and courteously assisting our guests with transport between the Perisher Valley Hotel and the Perisher Valley Skitube terminal. You will be required to attend to the needs of guests staying at the hotel including the delivery of their luggage, providing information on all hotel and resort facilities, evening turn down and assisting the housekeeping team.
As a Porter at Mt. Hotham, your day may consist of far more than just delivering luggage to rooms. You may be shovelling snow to clear walkways, driveways and carparks, as well as assisting the Building Maintenance team with minor repairs, delivering wood and kindling to chalets and much more!
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
A minimum of two years’ hospitality service experience
Extensive customer service experience
Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
A current unrestricted manual driver’s licence (please attach a copy to your application)
Confidence driving in snow and icy conditions
The ability to work unsupervised as well as be a team player
Physical fitness and the ability to undertake heavy lifting
Impeccable grooming and manners

Employment start dates will vary depending on the role and snow conditions, but most roles start in June and finish in late September. Staff accommodation may be available for successful applicants.
