The GreenLake Sales Specialist is responsible for prospecting and leading the pursuit of GreenLake Cloud Services solutions and services. Collaborates with and supports Enterprise Account Managers and provides specialist expertise within the sales team. Drives proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. May have named accounts allocated, cover a designated geography, or may be allocated to one high-potential, competitive attack account.
Management Level Definition:
Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve understand customer business challenges and needs and applying outcome-based targets for the appropriate GreenLake solution. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Actively prospects within accounts and provided customer data to discover or cultivate solutions sales opportunities for Greenlake Cloud Services
Manage sales pipeline and forecasting within
Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with clients, by developing a core understanding of the customer business challenges and various cloud-based solutions.
Engagement with clients up to and inclusive of the CIO level.
Contribute to building of the pipeline by generating leads and referrals and new customer opportunities within specialty area.
Engagement with existing customers for upsell and generation of Change Orders for additional revenue generation.
Interface with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development.
Build sales readiness and reduce client learning curve through effective knowledge transfer in area of specialization.
Network with internal stake holders to ensure quote to order is completed.
Education and Experience Required:
University or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota, diversity of business customer and higher-level customer interface.
Detailed knowledge of key customer types or customers on given products.
Typically 7-10 years of experience in specialty sales or business endeavour requiring financial or technical skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
Engagement with C-level executives with respect to education and communication of outsome-based solutions to various business IT challenges
Development of basic financial analysis inclusive of cash flow analysis, TCO, and solution inventory. Excel capabilities preferred
Project management skills and team collaboration for complex solution development
Understanding of Public cloud trends, uses case scenarios, solutions, and cloud adoption paradigms
Consultative approach and engagement in understanding of customer challenges and outcome-based approach to IT and cloud solution development
Assesses solution feasibility from a technical and business perspective to determine “qualify-in”/”qualify-out” status
Solid communication and presentation skills within IT at the manager level.
Product demonstration, customer training and onboarding.
Quantitative and/or methodical approach to customer prospecting and solution alignment
Solid written and verbal skills in the development and communication of effective customer proposals
Negotiates profitable deals so that the company can expand opportunities based on the existing business and increase the company’s footprint and revenue.
Opportunity prospecting as related to specialty area and in expanding existing client business, in order to generate leads/referrals to account team.
Regular use of application suite updating deal profile and forecasting accurately.
