Technical Writer ITG – (12 pm to 9 pm shift)
Summary
Currently in hyper-growth mode, we are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team. You will work directly with members of the product management, support, and QA teams to produce technically accurate and relevant documentation for our customers. You are a fiercely detail-oriented person with exceptional writing, research, and organizational ability.
Responsibilities:
Help get ITG partners excited about new and existing features by conveying technical material in a clear, concise fashion, keeping them engaged and ready for the next big feature;
Understand and address the needs of end users of technical documentation via your written storytelling and communication prowess, developing a consistent tone and use of language;
Communicate complex information to users of our platform in a clear and concise way;
Become an ITG expert by working with product, development and sales engineering teams, demonstrating a keen ability learn about and document new features in advance of release;
Work closely with our product and development teams to track upcoming releases and publish supporting documentation;
Create detailed but streamlined and simplified how-to articles and FAQ pages to help speed up and optimize our partners’ deployment timelines;
Collaborate with our designers to facilitate product adoption, comprehension, and utilization;
Create and manage our product literature library;
Use screenshots, gifs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase understanding;
Define and own style guidelines to ensure documentation has a consistent visual and structural approach;
Revise and update existing content and documents as required.
Other content writing work, as required
Required Skills
4 + years of technical writing experience with a technology company (SaaS considered an asset);
Willing to work in the 12 pm to 9 pm shift.
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field;
Mastery of the English language and a keen understanding of common challenges when communicating with people from all over the world;
Strong analytical and research skills;
Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills;
Ability to take direction and feedback from supervisors and peers;
Ability to learn quickly, think proactively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to self-manage work to meet critical milestones;
Must be a team player who can adapt to shifting priorities on deadline.
