Full Job Description :-
Our client is a leading company in the IT Consulting industry seeking the role of UNIX developer. Your role is to develop scripts to upgrade java ear files and to automate maintenance tasks. Set up a configuration management infrastructure to manage the entire Linux server and desktop infrastructure.
Tasks
Prepare Service delivery reports;
Disaster Recovery planning and conducting DR tests;
Perform risk and impact analysis for changes;
Write technical documentation, operational procedures, systems documentation and Incident and problem communications and reporting;
Take part in after-hours on-call rotation schedule and weekend activities as required;
Scripting skills to automate day to day tasks;
Ensure hardware & software licensing compliance for Oracle, RHEL servers;
Work with internal and external auditors to provide evidence of compliance;
Analysis of availability, configuration management for reporting to the customer;
Responsible for Standard Operating procedures issuance to the incident management team;
Requirements
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or related field;
Knowledge of virtualization and high availability technologies required;
Knowledge Solaris virtualization (CDOM, LDOM, Zone) required;
Possesses strong network skills in protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, & NFS;
Familiar with managing and using infrastructure tools such as Stash (Git repository), Bamboo, Puppet, RedHat Satellite, Solarwinds (monitoring) and Service Now a plus;
Must have a demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills in a complex environment;
Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, show initiative and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment;
Must be a team player and be comfortable working with geographically diverse teams;
Working knowledge in MS Tools – MS-Word, MS-Excel, Internet Explorer, MS-Project, MS PowerPoint;
Interpersonal sensitivity and customer responsiveness;
