Full Job DescriptionTitle: Proposal Writer Our client, is looking to staff a Proposal Writer with the right mix of experience and skills. We have multiple opportunities available.This key position receives, reviews, analyzes, and breaks down Federal Government Requests for Proposal (RFP, RFI, RFQ, Sources Sought) and similar items. Additionally, the Proposal Writer develops, organizes, writes, reviews and revises all proposal related activity and engages corporate and operational stakeholders to meet set timelines.POSITION SUMMARY: Create documentation and educational materials to inform users on technical systems and organizational processes.Create modern documentation and user assistance infrastructure.Work closely with management and technical leads to create the most up to date and informative documents to bring users from novice to power users.Responsible for document deliverables of substantial scope and complexity.Maintain existing document librariesCreate well formatted templates and formatted documents for technical staff to update internal guides within the organizationESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The functions listed describe the business purpose of this job. Receives, reviews, analyzes, and breaks down Federal Government Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quote (RFQ), Requests for Information (RFI), and similar documents.2. Establishes the Proposal response plan; develops, organizes, writes, reviews and revises Proposals, Quotes, and other information based on the RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements.3. Works with and engages corporate leadership and operational team members from across the Company for information, detail and information verification as a part of the review and response process.4. The Proposal Writer is responsible to ensure that Proposals, Quotes, and other deliverables are compliant to the request.5. Extensive writing in preparing clear, well-written, persuasive, high quality proposals consistent with Paragon Systems’ corporate culture and mission.6. Responsible for other Business Development documentation, including Key Personnel resumes, past performance information, contract deliverables, and the company newsletter.7. Must manage and respond to multiple proposal efforts simultaneously.8. Follows-up on requests for information, timely in order to ensure proposals are delivered on time.9. Meets regularly with stakeholders as appropriate; communicates with management related to progress challenges, and proposal queries.10. Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the positionEducation/Experience2-3+ Years’ Experience working with content in multiples mediums2-3+ Years’ Experience owning documentation processes from beginning to end2-3+ Years’ Experience writing technical documentation in the field of engineering, manufacturing, or information technology2-3+ Years’ Experience working with technical and management personnel experience capturing and refining written documents2-3+ Years’ Experience producing and editing professional PowerPoint presentation files2-3+ Years’ Experience working in proposal planning and writing2-3+ Years’ Experience writing RFP’s, RFI’s, RFQ’s for federal subcontract spaceBackground PrerequisitesMust undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey.Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing)· Exceptional ability to successfully strategize and write effective, persuasive, and responsive proposals under tight deadlines.· Ability to analyze and break down Requests for Proposals and similar documents to determine structure and themes for a compliant response.· Exceptional ability to write effective, persuasive, and responsive proposals under tight deadlines· Ability to analyze and break down Requests for Proposals and similar documents to determine structure for compliant response;Competencies (continued)· Exceptional and consistent attention to detail· Strong planning, organization and time management skills.· Ability to carry out multiple assignments / projects concurrently.· Ability and willingness to adapt quickly to shifting deadlines and priorities;· Strong sense of urgency and accountability· Positive/proactive attitude and desire to support business efforts.
