Position Summary
Assistant Manager (CL4), Operations and content design – Deloitte Health Equity Institute, Center for Health Solutions, Research and Insights

Deloitte has launched a new social innovation organization called the Deloitte Health Equity Institute (DHEI). DHEI is a data-driven pro bono services, philanthropic, and knowledge development hub within Deloitte’s Center for Health Solutions (DCHS). DCHS is one of the industry research Centers under the Research and Insights (R&I) group.
DHEI draws on Deloitte’s array of capabilities to activate health equity across the United States, helping to realize our firm’s Purpose by moving the field for public good and advancing equitable health outcomes at scale.
To achieve our aspiration, DHEI is focused on addressing three root causes that prevent equitable health outcomes in the U.S.: 1) Racism and bias inside and outside the health care system, 2) Deep inequities in non-medical Drivers of Health, and 3) Structural flaws in the health system. To drive change across the three root causes, DHEI is focused on activating key decision makers to accelerate change, strengthening local ecosystems to advance equitable communities, and driving health equity innovation and learning across the US.
The Content Creation Specialist is responsible for leading the development of key resources and publications to support Deloitte Health Equity Institute partnerships and pro bono engagements.
Key Responsibilities:Work with the US- and India-based team to develop training/education materials to support internal and external stakeholders in building their knowledge base on health equityProduce written and visual materials that promote DHEI insights to various internal and external audiences, in coordination with marketing and partnership teamsConduct research to follow current trends, developments, and perceptions about health equity and incorporate findings into contentCollaborate with adjacent teams (Activating Health Equity IMO, LSHC practice, etc) to identify content creation opportunities and complete assignmentsProvide review and copy-editing support to all DHEI workstreams
• Present results and summarize insights and recommendations in exec/client-ready decks – to assist senior colleagues and leaders for internal and external meetings. • Track topics and manage agendas for recurring leadership meetingsSupport engagement of external advisors and stakeholders through quarterly summitsManage/coordinate with Deloitte stakeholder groups to ensure cohesion across the firmSupport establishment of pro bono health equity engagements including staffing, scoping, contracting, etc.
This role is evolving, and opportunities to expand responsibilities and take on more challenging tasks will be readily available. A high degree of flexibility and ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities are required.
Skills required:Project management
o Being autonomous and independently managing all aspects of project to ensure outcomes and meet deadlines, demonstrating high level of ownership and accountability.
o Ability to prioritize activities and manage to aggressive deliverable due dates and workplan
o Solid analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
o High attention to detail, responsiveness, and strong track record of contributing to high-impact projectsStoryboarding
o Ability to structure ambiguous, high level ideas into visually appealing slides. Is adept at using storyboarding, and structuring strategies.
o Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Operations management
o Ability to manage operational performance and reporting cycles (including the oversight of KPIs, opportunity pipeline, and impact tracking).
o Adept in using advanced excel and other MS tools (E.g. MS teams)Other
o Commitment to bring an active anti-racist perspective and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) lens
o Competency to work with distributed and virtual teams, especially one that spans international geographies
The broader R&I team
The R&I team’s mission is to undertake research and analysis to develop compelling and forward-looking perspectives that allow clients to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to “what’s coming next.”
The team plays an integral role in strengthening the firm’s strategic positioning through end-to-end development of high-quality thoughtware published on Deloitte.com and Deloitte Insights webpages. Their work includes:Managing relations with internal stakeholders.Using advanced data science and survey advisory capabilities to strengthen the credibility of insights.Leveraging editorial and visualization capabilities to improve the stickiness of firm thoughtware.
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timingAcademic qualification: Master’s Degree like MBA/CFAWork experience: 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a Consulting environment with track record of high performanceLocation: HyderabadWork hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (expected to stretch during busy periods)
